I have a 1 metre motorised dish with a disec motor. I bought a new box and found that my dish would not go past 19 degrees east. The motor was stuck there. The installer said that he had encountered a number of problems like this. If you only go between 2or three sats then the motor will not go any further east or west. To over come this download sats the furthest east and west you can receive, and occasionallylog on to them. This makes sure that your motor is kept in working order.

it does'nt make sense,get another installer it seems he does nt know what is saying, diseq motor is design to move at all times ,if the motor is not working ,he has to tell you,there are so many ways of trouble shooting,
1. he/you must check whether the feed cable is not touching ,then you have to check all the setting perimeter enable motor diseq :it varies with individual recievers,once this is confirmed,if the problems is not solved ,the motor could be faulty,check your waranty ,or go buy another one.
in short get another installer to look for you.all the best
