Looking for a camera £100-£145

My mate's looking for a decent enough camera for around the £100-£145 region. I think he was looking at a Fuji S4000 (i think that's what he said!). Is it any good? It's just for general photography (holidays with the kids, etc).

Any other suggestions will be gratefully received.
