I know have the chipping time down to about 45 minutes

well i havnt so far, PS2 been sitting here deassembled for a week, although the chip was damaged when i got it

after a month i finally decided to put the chip in...
took 2 houres on fitting it and it seems to be working ok

first ps2 boot there was no power & thought uh-oh, but hadnt cliped in the PSU cable lol

second boot seemed to work & booted a PS1 backup perfect ...so im assuming it works !
hopeflly should boot PS2 backup's too

ive chipped a quite a few ps2's
the secret is to buy the proper wire kynar or copper enameld wire also a low watt iron
also use flux to help you,
ver 5/'7 are the easiest no via points,
if you are gonna chip make sure the ps2 plays dvd's ok.
I.E no fmv
