Been playing about for the last week with a new Lonrisun box, did a bit of reading and managed to update to the latest version of Vix using the following method.
Download and flash a clone safe version of Vix, I used Vix Apollo 29 available on this site.
Once flashed do your usual setups.
Next the feeds need to be fixed,
FTP to /etc/opkg
Delete everything in this folder and replace with the ones here in post 170
Next I patched the drivers with the following telnet command
This renames the driver versions
While telnet is open you should make the drivers read only by using the following in telnet
you can then check it’s read only status by
Now you can run an ONLINE UPDATE ONLY.
All the usual applies, do this at your own risk and I can confirm it worked on a vu + solo 2 Lonrisun Clone must be the latest version as it has clone protection.
