Ok, I moved into a new property about a year ago, it has all electric heating, basically a tank in the airing cupboard with an immersion heater which is basically on 24/7. I now want to open the fireplace back up and put in a multifuel boiler stove but I need a new water tank/cylinder, I live alone, the property has 8 radiators but not sure which size of tank/cylinder to get, I can't see any writing on the existing tank/cylinder, any suggestions?

TIA

standards are
direct cylinder have just immersion no flow return

indirect with immersion for back up with flow return

just measure it, and then you can guess with the sizes given what size it is

400x 900

400x1050

450x900

450 x1050

How do those sizes translate into Litreage? That's probably what I should have asked, sorry

No m8 the radiators are not electric, I just flick a switch and the pump kicks in and sends the water thru the system, trust me it's crap, one plumber m8 had a quick look at it and said it's as old as the hills
