Help Updating PSP FW 3.90 M33-2 to the latest possible

hey guys
i just want to start by saying that i have been out of the PSP scene for ages and feel like a n00b for asking..
but i aint really getting the guides i am using.

i have a PSP with the Firmware 3.90 m33-2 and i am trying to update it to 5.00m33-6

i was wondering if some1 out there can help me out doing this lol

but now i am confused on which "GEN" to use...

cud u tell me which one i should use for the firmware i have..
oh and my PSP is : PSP-2003 (thats what it says under the battery) if that is needed

use grader 8 on xp machine Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum - Downloads - PSP GRADER 8
then use d3 to change the pandora files to xgen pandora
