Help Freesat sky+ hd box can it record

I have some old sky+ hd boxes no contract so just as Freesat is there anyway of enabling them to record

If there is a viewing card in it you could pay Sky £10 a month to enable the recording feature. Having said that, it's cheaper to buy a freesat HD Recorder for around £120. You will loose the recording feature once you cancel that susbscription and will have wasted your money because you wont have anything at the end of it.
