Griffin complaint over BBC 'mob'

LMAO Steve the trader being poor at maths, you never know with the fine mess that you've got the banks in.

If I was solely to blame for that one then I would probably be retired already and sunning it up on my own private island.

I don't need the benefit of your experienced analysis, I would be pretty poor at my job if I couldn't interpret stats, I would also have failed to have excelled academically in the subject as well.
We can disagree about exactly how the remaining 18% would break, but you can't simply dismiss them the way you essentially did earlier.

That being said, the idea of anyone voting for them repulses me, so even 4% sounds like an uncomfortably large minority of voters.
What's really uncomfortable about that is that it's higher than what the BNP scored in similar surveys prior to the June elections. I don't remember a poll with the exact same wording as this one, so a 100% accurate like-for-like comparison is not possible, but there's no question that the 6.2% they got in the actual election was a surprise. So if polls are now showing that 4% are prepared to identify themselves as definite BNP voters, this figure alone could indicate an increase in support, or from a more hopeful perspective, simply that's it's become more socially acceptable to admit to being a BNP voter.

Even without surveys like this, I would have expected an increase in BNP support following Griffin's Question Time appearance. I would be less sure about how his attempt to paint himself and his party as more moderate than they've previously done would go down with the more militant arm of the BNP.

See this is where your case falls down, you jump from defenitely considering to defenite vote, theyre 2 different things.
I have defenitely been considering going to the maldives for the last 10 years, I still haven't been.

here is a response from a ethnic student at leeds university to the beeb and was published regarding question time!!!

In Response To:

As a medical student at Leeds University, I hope that a very racist politician such as Nick Griffin does not speak for a large porportion of the the voting population in the UK. Quite frankly from his perspective if it were left to the 'whites' or 'English' the NHS would have a very bleak future. Without the input of international students and students from an Asian, African etc background the NHS would be a 'sitting duck', it would have no where to go!! We must celebrate our differences!

so that is not a racist remark !!!

are we miising the point on racism, or does it not include white /english

I don't understand what you're trying to say here dale 094. Could you maybe try and explain it a little better?

its not hard

Without the input of international students and students from an Asian, African etc background the NHS would be a 'sitting duck',

how many white doctors whose first language is english do you see when you have to see a specialist in hospital?

not many

Yes, so you're agreeing with the ethnic medical student. I agree also. So why does dale 094 think it would be racist to say so?

I still don't understand his post digi. Nobody would think that was racist.

He is infering the use of the words "whites" and "English" by people of ethnic origin is racist, which is total nonsense.

thebigman

You've lost me now as well digi. You're either as confused as dale 094 or you're off on one of your crusades again.

no m8, as it was a sarcastic reply to bigmans post, in general about the way racism is seen

white people cant say black people, cant say brown people, cant shorten pakistani to paki, yet its ok for british to be shortened to brit, for white people to be called white people, and all of the other PC crap that only goes one way so as not to offend 'the minority'

i may be confused by it all, do you really understand all of the PC things youre allowed and not allowed to say?

to me, all this PC and racist stuff is total utter bollox, people use it to get their own way, and it sucks ass

if someone thinks im a racist for some of the things i say, so what, like i care a toss, to me EVERYONE is the same, its just if youre part of a certain gorup, you can use that to your advantage, or have it used against you

people are people no matter what colour they are or what they believe in, its someones attitude that decides wether i like them or not, even if theyre blue skinned with orange hair and believe the spaghetti monster will take them to a better place in a ufo when they die, if theyre a nice genuine person, ill get on with them, if theyre an arse hole, i wont

people who keep screaming theyre offended by everything have serious underlying issues with themselfs they need to sort out before they can start shouting what others should or shouldnt be doing

just my opinion

This is a classic post, do you live that far out in the sticks that youi really dont know whats going on in this country?, or are you just being facetious.

Change the word black to white and it becomes racist
Why not have just Lincolnshire Police Association

Some area, positive discrimination is a good thing - and needed.

It could be said Discrimination in any form is wrong. By definition positive discrimination is positive racism - still racism!

positive discrimination for minorities works. it's easy to speak from the 'majoritiy' point of view.
