im posting this in here because i dont think there is a section for what im using.

I bought a FTA skyline DSR4000 DVB box with a huge dish on a stand, konig sat finder etc.

Im on a camp site with very poor freeveiw reception, hence the reason i went down the sat route.

I have set up the dish looking using a satpointer site and google earth.
i set it to astra 2 and elevation of 28.5 .
all i can pick up shopping channels and foreign channels.

Do i need to set it to a different sat on the receiver?
do i have the elevation correct?
any ideas or suggestions, just so i can watch bbc1, bbc2,ITV, etc

You most likely have the dish pointed at Astra1 which gives a stronger signal. The box will still scan and give a load of foreign channels, but it is the dish that needs adjustment. Standing from behind the dish you need to turn it a few inches to the left and down very slightly, where you will find another strong signal to tune in to. That will be Astra2.
