Fix for UK keychange

Just got this from Zeus over at Dreambox Magic

My services went off today as did all my familys, here is a simple guide Zeus did on update the key so you have your pay to view channels again. I did this and all channels back on again. Got it of there site in FAQ section.

Emergency Key Change
1. Press Yellow
2. Select Tuxbox Commander
3. Press down arrow (9 Times) until you highlight “var” in LEFT window.
4. Press OK
5. Press down arrow (3 Times) until you highlight “keys”
6. Press OK
7. Press down arrow (4 Times) until you highlight “Keylist.txt”
8. Press 4 (to edit the file)
9. You will now see the keylist. First line beginning with 00 needs to be changed slightly.
10. Press OK to select the line to edit.
11. Press Right arrow 18 times to you highlight the “2” and change it to an “3”
12. Press OK to make the change.
13. Press Exit
14. Press Red (to save changes)
15. Press Exit
16. Press Red (to save changes)
17. Press Exit
18. Now that’s done lets restart Evocam – Press Blue Button
19. Press OK
20. Done

My keylist.txt file is empty, possibly because I started downloading other EMUs and swapping them about when the channels went off (should have checked here first!).

just to point out that method above is for the dm500.
the keylist file for the dm600 is found in the folder usr/keys/
confirmed working pure ntl.

just put evocam 2.12 in again. reboot it, blue/OK to restart evocam and let keys update. Then follow the steps above.

To input the keys manually do the following :

PRESS MENU

GO TO LANGUAGE SETTINGS

PRESS 1968

SHOULD TAKE YOU TO KEY MANAGER



"then you will have two more options

emulation its enabled

emm capture its disabled enable it

once enabled and you have emm capture highlighted again type 1968 and you will sey the key table .
keep scrolling down to your see your provider "

in ntl pure and my 18th digit is already a 3 the 20th is a 2 no joy sofar

This worked for me, big thank you to Davido for posting. oh and on mine it wasnt the 18th key, mine was the 16th
