Ok, now Im stuck.

I flashed the box and was inputting my details into the NewCamd Client menu, but it is not letting me enter a password.

Any ideas guys please?

Ive got my nline up and running on 1.18 version.

However, when i switch from a fta channel to a non-fta, my channel is scrambled and i have to turn the box off and on.

So whats the consensus, should i stick with the 1.18 or go for the 1.20?

Also anyone got a channel list to go with the 1.18 or the 1.20 please?

if the older firmware isnt working i wouldnt bother doing a chan file, i would wait until a patched version of the 1.20 comes out as chan files dont work on different firmeware, there is a bug in the firmware, the 1.19 does the exact same thing, after 10 mins of watching FTA, it wont wont clear chans, have tried everything but it wont work, hopefully the 1.20 version fixs it as its a pain having to turn the box on and off or in the network settings page, turn DHCP on or off and this seems to kick the box into clearing the chans,

Yeah seen that, be interesting to see if that bug is fixed with it not clearing chans from FTA to encrypted, let us know how ya get on with it, that and the youtube, youporn not working and other issues that have crept in, have noticed when changing chans the menu is slowly dissolving, if you get me, like a lagging,

What about it working with a nline? is it now clearing the chans after watching a FTA chan, leave it on a FTA chan for about 10mins then try another chan such as sports or movies etc. that the main one I am after,

Tuning in the sats now - whats the difference between a Blind Scan and the Pre Set Scan please?

Mickah,

I tuned in Astra 28.2 on a Blind Scan.

Tried Sky Sports & Atlantic and it came in.

Then went to RTE2 and it came in.

Left it on RTE2 for 15 Minutes and went ack to Sky Atlantic and sports and it worked.

So all looks good.

So now Id love a channell list.

Iba, rte 2 is not FTA nor is Sky atlantic, of course its gonna work mate, put it on BBC1 or BBC2 or UTV or any chan without a dollar sign beside it, leave it for 10 mins then go to RTE1 or 2 or any encrypted chan and see if it kicks in for you

Have loaded the new firmware onto the Ariva 250, now for the good.

Youtube, youporn, grooveshark etc all work fine, RSS feed works fine, weather chan dont work,

now for the bad, using a NLINE on this box is the same as before, when you watch a FTA chan and then after 5 to 10 mins, flick over to a encrypted chan, the box wont descramble the chan, you either have to go to network setting and turn DHCP on or off to kick the box to start requesting ECMS into clearing or to turn the box on and off, its like the box after sitting idle on a FTA chan and then flicked onto a pay chan, the box stops requesting ECMS and you have to do the above, this glitch was in the last version 1.19 and also the 1.18............which after 3 versions of firmware updates, this hasnt been rectified, a waste of time if you ask me, as a box to be used for sharing, this is a glaring issue

IBA, i think I may know why it dont work, mine and your box possibly and a few more, there seems to be a batch of boxs, the ariva 250's, which have a a glitch in them I, have tested the firmware, the box in various places and its the same scenario, I have done the same with a different Ariva 250 from a different source/seller and the box works perfect, not sure where you bought your box, PM if you like, it its fleabay let me know, whom. But I suggest you contact your seller for a replacement if your box is the same after flashing it with the new firmware,
