Ferguson Ariva 150

Hi all
Have noticed that the Ferguson Ariva 120 Has gone end of life and has been replaced by the 150.
just wondering if there has been any patch updates available for the 150 like the previous A120 V2.15B8 for the Ariva 120??

Hi Meena,
Just picked up 150 myself this week, haven't got around yet to patching it but downloaded patch A150Combo_20120706_V1.18B6_patch which is suppose to do the trick.

The Ariva 150 and 250 were both released as successors to the 120, all three have patches available.

Im looking for the patched 1.18 firmware for the Ariva 250 please (I presume the same one works on the 250 and the 150)

Hi lads,

I seem to be having that problem where an Ariva 150 using the 1.8B patch is showing the encrypted channels as 'scrambled' when moving from a FTA channel - this seems to be resolved by rebooting the box but that is hardly a solution.

A few questions.

1. Does the 1.2B patch for the Ariva 150 that I've seen here resolve this issue?

2. Anyone got a link to a download for it? Can't seem to find it here.

3. Do I just carry out the same procedure to overwrite the 1.8B patch with the 1.2B patch?

Hi Busted,

Cant totally answer your questionas I have the 120 and the 250 but Im using the 1.2B on the 250 and I have the same problem as you i.e. having to switch off/reboot when changing from a FTA station to a PPV station. If you look on the 250 forum another guy called Mickah also has this problem and suggests that I should send the box back saying 'its an ash issue' (havnt had the time to do it yet). He says that some boxes have this fault whereas others dont.

Hi mate, no the issue remains with then latest firmware, you can try flash it with the 1.20B version, but its the same issue, after watching a FTA chans for more than 10 mins or so, it wont clear and encrypted chan, have tested the box on wireless, direct wired etc in another house, Cline and NLINE, same thing, there is a glitch somewhere in the box, it could be the chip or something more, but either way, its not doing what it says on the tin, the prob is, if you tell a vendor what your doing, your warranty is nulled, not everyone is having the problem, seems to be a certain few 150 and 250 boxs

I have a different A150 that I use just as a FTA combo so I think I'll flash that with the 1.8B patch and give that one a try.

Is there some way I can return the one with the issue to its original Ferguson software?

Just update it from the box menu - upgrade by network and this will flash the box with genuine firmware via the Ferguson site

The latest firmware is 1.20, 1.8b is old, the 1.20B1 patched, fixs the issues with youtube, youporn apps on the box and adds grooveshark

no mate, wastin ure time, the box had the same issue as mine, there is glitch in it, read back on the thread and you will see what I have done to date, box needs to go back if under warranty,

Hi Folks,

Have moved from the 120 thread.
I got my 150 working no problem with a c line apart from the glitching issue.

I've tried for the last week to get a number of N lines to work without success.
MicKah has confirmed that the USB Allshares.dat upgrade won't work for N lines.
I've tried manually with the remote but no success.

Here's the process I'm following:

DHCP ON

Newcmd Client

Server 1

URL "N: XXX-YYY.ZZZZZ.net" Is the space between the N: and the name correct. I've tried both. I've left out the N: altogether.

Ping This has never worked for me I've had to power down the box as it goes searching.

Port: Entered this twice

Username:XXXXXXXXXXX

Password: YYYYY

Autoconnect ON

Any thoughts or suggestions?

the n doesnt go into the address so it should be

server and then the address, no N or hyphens etc just the server address,

Ping has never worked on these boxs, the 250 is the same, freezes. there must be a digit out somewhere in your password or username, have done this myself

Are you getting login failed? if so the details may be incorrect or the line is not live, check this with your supplier to confirm, my box is working fine on a N LINE
