Eurovox 1&2 tried and tested fix ???

well don't think worth the wait, as i have a ev 2 and a max running new firmware max blue and today taken 10 mins and still code updating, gona wait a bit too see but could be bad news.


Wow took 17 mins to update code, worst software ever.

did u install the ev2toevmax software ? . or do u have to install the ufl blue one

Has anyone with a max blue box tried to see if they can copy their box onto the EV2 by connecting a null modem cable between them? I did read somewhere that if you had two identical boxes you can make them the same and since the MAX blue and EV2 have the same tuner it may be worth a try.

Also does anybody know who created the Voxer loader? I was thinking maybe they could include an option in the loader to upload firmware from boxes this way when new firmware is relased for the MAX it could be uploaded from the box and posted on the forum so that others can flash it with Voxer to their EV2.

i'm sure that was an option on early versions but i'm bolloxed if I can find it anywhere. (possibly was dnupman or dabbaman)

I've managed to find DnUpMan_DVBCV2.4_FAV8_20060314. This version is doesn't allow you to upload the firmware.

Was it an earlier version than this?

dunno m8 but the 8 favourites thing was quite a bit after the v2 came out.
i've got a file out of the UFL it's an INTPR .. what can you disect that with?

INTPR Files seems to still be archieved or encrypted in some way and won't be off any use until we can get the bin file out of it.

I've manged to find a Zip file named Dabbaman but when I extract it I get the DnUpMan v3.0 loader with Eurovox 1 fix and doesn't see to have the upload firmware option.

Do you know if there was a loader named Dabbaman?

Have the earliest version of dnupman (at least I think it is still have it when I bought a vox circa May 2005) - version 050415. Still have the readme file "dabba" - any use?

the best l could was install all the old max f/w on the eurovox2 but as soon as l got to ufl it wouldnt have it , cant understand how ufl knows its the wrong box even with max f/w on it ,, has to be the chip set

Some EV2 are working with the latest fix, I think they have put some sort of checking code in the firmware to stop it flashing on these boxes and may well be the the chipset as you say.

Have you checked to see if both boxes have the same chip?

i can help you get it going mate, i had a problem for days trying to install chatterbox toolbar etc and no one could work out what was wrong, so eventually i worked it out myself, so give me a shout should you still need help, its no problem.

Ok, i think i might have solved the install problem with chatterbox.cc toolbar/keymaster.

Ive been messing around for a couple of days trying things.

What I done was to install microsoft .NET framework 3.5 which covers windows vista and windows xp, the older versions of framework only work for xp.

I installed that, then downloaded/installed chatterbox toolbar and it worked fine, get the toolbar here >> TheChatterBox | Cable TV Specialists

Hope this helps others who were pulling the hair out head like me, lol.

if u have added to keys u will need to go onto sky sports one for a few minutes
