email scam ?

hi not sure if in right place , had couple of mails supposedly from vm , first saying my inbox almost full , it shown a bar saying 0.92 of 1.0gb full , then a few others saying to update newer version by the 4th of august , when looking at it the email adressit was from ended in gmail , not virgin media , have not clicked on any links , hovered over the link and looked at bottom of screen and it was google something review virginmedia

If not used your full name then its a scam like dear user/dear (email address) etc

or just check your email in box to see if it is full

Come to think of it have you ever tried to contact Virgin through email? practically impossible. Especially if it's anything to do with your contract.

On the subject of Scams, dont buy anything from a site called cheapsy.co.uk its a scam site selling everything from Flat Screen TV's to Washing Machines, Cookers, basically everything at reduced prices. BE WARNED you will not receive anything you buy. Check out the reviews.

Just checked and the site under that name has been taken down but it operated from February this year until last month. They have probably set up another site with a similar name, which seems to be what they do.

I had one recently were I placed an order and a totally different nothing alike cheap item arrived. A few days later the website disappeared.
I paid via PayPal and after putting in a claim I was refunded a few weeks later.

Remeber t take a screen shot of the web page and item pictures plus payment receipts.
Some people knock PayPal for charges etc but in situations like mine you can guarantee they will refund you
