I could not find anywhere to post this so if im in the wrong place could some one please move.

Im looking for somewhere to buy a Fairchild FM809SS3X but can not find a uk components supplyer who stocks it can anyone please help.

thanks for the reply m8 but they have a min order of £50 and the component will only be about £1.

What is it m8 my wife works in an electronics company if i knew what it was i could ask her if they have them

The FM809/810 are supervisor circuits that monitor power
supply or other system voltages and issue reset pulse whenever
the voltage being monitored is out of tolerance. Once asserted,
the reset pulse is guaranteed to be valid for a minimum of
140ms (256ms typical). FM809xx offers active low push-pull
type of reset while FM810xx offers active high push-pull type.
Several threshold voltages are offered to accommodate 5.0V,
3.3V, 3.0V and 2.7V system voltages.

I will get her to ask one of the techs in her work

stuff like that I would get, if I can from Farnell or RS components, it's been a while though may be well off.

If its just a simple voltage monitor/reset chip then there should be lots of alternatives that can be shoehorned into the circuit as a replacement

I have found a couple of alternatives but still no luck sourcing one.

I know this is an oldish thread but did you get any as i'm after one too.

no but i just stuck a transistor in which gets me up and running but with no voltage cutout. I take it you have a faulty Dell D640 motherboard ?
