*make a directory on your hard disk to store '.wav' files.
Any directory name will do as it searches /media/ for '.wav's.
Then just load a few 'wav's, run the option to 'Find Audio Files'
(yellow button, 'ppanels', 'Music Jukebox' and you are ready to go.

Image resolution set to 1080i @ 50Hz
Tuner set to fixed single feed @ 28.2E

I have tested, numerous times, switching back and fore between WiFi and ethernet, with no problems. When activating WiFi, allow the confirmation message to count down from 10 to 0 on its own. I also have a small 256Mb USB stick permanently connected to the rear socket, and my HDD has been available during every boot

This image is based on the UR image of 08/01/2011, so also contains the same fixes and / or bugs. Built from SVN Rev 309. Customised by digidude, partially @ source.​

Theres a possibility that trying to factory reset after messing with other things may cause a green screen, but you can reflash via MINIROOT to get back to all the defaults of this backup image

CoolTV EPG useage

The layout and some buttons of CoolTV EPG have been changed from default, and listed to enhance use of it within this image. Once your EPG data is populated (either auto or manual via long press of yellow button) you will have a guide layout similar to a sky+HD receiver

a mini screen showing part of the picture, a list of 9 channels at the bottom, and the synopsis of the highlighted programme at the top

Press green button to view the EPG, (or press and hold EPG button and choose coolTV guide), and to browse the EPG you can use the following buttons

2 Page up
8 Page down
4 - 2 hours
6 + 2 hours
< - 24 hours
> + 24 hours
9 View primetime TV (20:00 - 22:00)
0 Return to present time

You can also use the arrows on the remote to step un, down, left and right

Press OK to Zap to the highlighted channel, and exit the EPG

i was working on making it an actual image that runs the wizard etc from the start, instead of a backup image, but with all the rytek stuff, and the amount of changes UR make to the code, every time something big changed, it means starting again, soooo, what im going to try, is to make a basic image based on URs latest releases, but with DW customisations right from the start, then in Ppanels, there will be a 'DW customise' option. set this running, which will update lots of stuff on the receiver via the net, reboot once its done, and job done

will take me a little while to create the downloadable / installable packages, but will mean each person can run an individual setup wizard, instead of relying on what ive set in the backup image

Installed still takes 5 seconds for menu to load, if I change softcam to "none" menu only takes 2seconds to load.

Hi when I try to change the password I keep getting a green screen. Is there anything else i can do. Ive re flashed but still he same. Im trying to enter my cline through dcc but need a password.

I had this yesterday when using the standard 08/1/11 image. What i did was go to menu/setup/full factory reset.

And set it up from there been spot on since.

thanks, I tried that but got a green screen also. I tried it on full factory reset, facory reset and change password and got a gree screen on all of them. i will put the 8-1-11 image back on. thanks for your help

reflash it then immediatly do a full factory reset.

Hi guys, just like to say i have installed this new image and everything seems to be working spot on.

Would like to comment on what a great service I had from Technomate, organised my box to be picked up via ParcelMonkey/City Link Wednesday and was delivered back this morning jtagged:Clap:

Had to comments out couple of lines from .py file.
Haven't tested the original firmware, as DW is the best.

is there hope any time soon to have mkv usb playback support?

i dont know whats taking UR so long, new receivers like Blade7000 are coming with MKV support as default.

I trust Digi is working on this.

Right, so I wasn't wrong there. The lines I had to comments out were related to show and hide something, and between it formats. I was able to format the hdd after commenting out those lines. Wonder if digi could fix it for future releases.

ok, ive found out whats causing this, its down to me changing the skin settings for the customised skin thats part of this backup image, unfortunatley though, changing back to the default skin or magic skin doesnt sort this issue out, as the changes were made to one of the graphics in the source of the skin, before being compiled into the image and the addons added before the backup was made

itll be sorted out in the next release though

im thinking of changing the green screen message a little bit more than i already have, and setting up an email address for anyone who wants to, to send their crashlogs to. ive sent god knows how many to the pliur@goolgemail or whatever it is that shows on the UR image, i have also sent them with invisible tracking, and none of the tracked ones have been opened

sod it, next weekend thats what ill do, ill change the green screen message within DW modified / DW branded images, and setup an email account for people to send crash logs to from the next release onwards

Sounds like a good plan :Clap: just was thinking seeing as you changed the picon bit to show DW logo can we not actually get picons for each channel now that boxes have been jtagged etc?

The only reason I ask is because I saw this thread that states

Perfect for E2 SD Boxes like the DM7025, TM500, TM600 etc.

So if ok for TM500/600 the 800 shouldnt have a problem? Unless I forget the reason why it hasnt got it already.

Iv had some sucess with this can get them to work but they are too big well the ones I have for HD skin but they dont work on all channels either....

However going to try get hold of SD picons and then manually resize the ones for hd channels... Then look at creating a ppanel script to automatically download and install.

this was the issue i had with picons m8, and no matter what versions, or where thheyre stored, the end result is the same, only about a third of them actually show.

the receiver and skin know that the other picons are there, as instead of the default picon, they show a blank square, so its trying to show the proper one instead of the default one

its not just down to the skin either, cooltv epg is exactly the same
