Will be converting my box from satellite to cable in the next couple of weeks, thankfully your post popped up in Google. I was trying to avoid starting with a clean image

It will flash to it if your image is sim2 but this image but not included the trial driver so you will see only the one tuner and not be able to scan dvbc in the conventional way.

Any image will work but youll need the trial tuner driver installing for it to see the triple tuner.

Try OpenATV its better suited to running cable with inbuilt autobouets and epg.

Put this on my cable dream box works a treat, one question why the need for Mgcamd, ccam works for me with a N line

Got this sorted thanks to jamesyboyjim, it may help others to know that you need specific Cable Picons, I downloaded Sat version and of course wouldnt work.
