just ordered elvis from divineo , do i need an original od card to copy anything off onto my gold card or do i just use kelver.

It all depends on what sort of card you want.
If you want an auto-updating card then yes you some info of an original od card namely the master key and the ppua.
Alternatively you can just programme the kevlar programme onto it, eeprom first and then the pic.

If you use Kevlar, you won't need an original card for anything except extracting the new op keys from.
