Due to the interest in a new neutrino image we have decided to release Digitalworldz Dream Neutrino v0.1 as a general release Beta.

Features
Net id fast scanning (ported from dbox2 (thanks to cydine for original dbox2 code) )
Much better recording than current enigma images.
Picicons (/var/tuxbox/icons)
Fully configurable menu items.
Bouquets compatible with dbox2 files and dbox2 bouquet editing programs.


It has the fast scan mod (by Cydine) and the code has been ported over from the dbox2 so ex dbox2 users will be familiar with it. You need your Net id, Frequency and symbol rate for this to work otherwise only slow scan will be available.

The Recording is an improvement on enigma based recording.

Bouquets.xml is compatible with dbox2 neutrino bouquet file so the popular bouquet editing files can be used.

At the moment the Digitalworldz menu is not ready but will be available in the next release, also this image only has the modified zapit for cable, it does not find many channels on my 500s (under 500 on 28.2) but the next release will have a sat option. We never had a 500t to test but I would assume it will be the same as the 500s, this will also be sorted in the next release.

We would appreciate as much feedback as possible on any problems and suggestions for the full release version.

To flash assuming you have Digitalworldz enigma version 2.1 rename the dw-beta.img to dw.img, ftp it to tmp on your box and use the blue button menu to flash the image, older dw images may require DW.img.
If you want to use dreamup then DON'T flash erase or if you do then flash it a 2nd time without the flash erase option.

To flash your old image back ftp a backup to /tmp (*.img files only)
then
menu
service
image update
flash one partition
Dreambox (w/o bootloader) ! This is important !
select the image and it will flash.

to backup your neutrino image

service
image update
backup one partition

and your backup (mtd3.img) will be in /tmp

To scan

select your scanning type ie bruteforce, cablesym6952 or cablesym6887
got to netid

then the same for the sym rate

save settings (red)
then
scan (blue)

It should take about 3 minutes.

We have included some netids etc but really need feedback for any errors so we can update it and keep it upto date.

Hi just flashed this across via telnet all booted up fine. channel scan was all completed in just under four minutes, could never get the quick channel scan to work in cryos neutrino.

copied over the emu folder and keys folder from cryos image but only getting fta channels.

also cant seem to find an emu menu, not sure if i have to change any settings in that menu if there is one?

another thing that would be nice is if the multi-epg could have a bigger font, that was one of the things i hated about cryos image.

is there a quick way of finding out what picons are missing instead of having to flick each channel one by one? would speed up making icons for me

@ devs if you could manage to get the volume control sorted that would be great i.e. at the moment volume up=down and vice versa,been struggling to fix it on a build i did a couple of weeks ago.

Its great to see neutrino running and looking this good on a dreambox you wouldnt even realise its a DM except for the remote :Smokin:

Cheers guys I know where it is but its wrong way round and cant be changed in keybinding setup,it seems to be hardcoded in the cvs and I couldnt find the file to change it before my build hence the question to the devs.

You can save the key binding from a working image in the temp directory,then retrieve them and import them into the image temp file.Then withinkey binding use the option 'load keys from' then just select from the temp file.
See attached these will work.

Ok had a look through the file you posted Donnie and the data in that file now seems to be incorperated into the neutrino.conf file but there is no option to change the binding for the volume key in either your file or the one in the image.

The image is solid with no breakups or stuttering on the.
set Net id and scanned in under 5 mins

@munchkin downloaded the Var folder and the magic didn`t happen...,..hahaha
var/ from the root dir.. Do i need to CHMOD this..?

1 other thing.. in the video setting the option of 4:3PS causes the box to switch off. Press OK again to return to 4:3LB.

Apart from what I have mentioned in my earlier post this is running great here,fast scan with netid is perfect,recording is perfect as far as my eyes can tell lol and of course it has virtual zap :Clap:
