dbox on home network

i have connected my d box to my pc following instructions from the very good 20 page guide and browsed files with fxp .on a stright pc connection with c/o cable

the problem i have is i would like to add the d box on to my netwok via my wired router when i connect the d box to the router i cannot connect to it i am using a normal network cable for this
i have also tried to browse IE with the boxes ip address but no luck

any help please

check that your dbox gets an IP from the router via dhcp, other wise you will need to setup the ip/netmask/gatway your self. the "test network" option on the dbox should show you what ip the box uses.
