Clone 500C - no LED on front of box, remote not responding, can see picture though!

hi guys

got a 500c a while back and its been in my cupboard until today

turn it on and immediately i notice that there is no LED showing on front of BOX, but i do get a picture on screen asking to save for PAL etc etc.

so i use dreamup, connects to the box and i flash DW v2.1 image

flash is done, reboot box and still there is no LED on the front of the dream box

screen comes up to save for PAL, try to press Green button but nothing happens!, changed the batteries and checked the remote though a camera phone's cam and it seems to be working!

stuck now! no idea what it can be

anyone any ideas?

did ya buy the box new opr second hand..

as looks like the UIR+LED bar at the front has come dislodged and/or disconnected..

i dunno how they connect as never opened mine up.

could be ribbon disconnected to just a snapped soilder point

opened it up and the IR connector had come out doh!

fitted it back in and now all is working
