Mine is covered in snot, chocolate, permanent marker, spaghetti sauce and sticky sugar.
You're not supposed to, as alcohol can melt certain plastics, but isopropyl alcohol will often shift permanent marker.Spare a thought for me..

Honestly couldn't tell you. But on most TVs I've seen the bezel is plastic.I thought plasma screen had a glass front through it could well be treated with an anti-glare coating.

In which case, assuming any coating isn't alcohol soluble, he could just apply the isopropyl alcohol to the cleaning cloth itself, in sparing amounts to prevent run off.bezel will be plastic but the screen will be glass. you can clean the plastic bezel with simple cleaner.
