Chorus MMDS DM500T, what next

Hi

I am new to this and no idea what to do next.

Chorus are installing an MMDS service this week in my house. I have bought a dreambox 500-t dvb-t reciever.

What else do I need for this box to start picking up all channels.

Do I need an image, if so which one?

Do I need anything else.

You need to load the Gemini image onto the Dreambox.
You also need the terrestrial.xml file which lists the frequencies of the channels.
Thats it.

have a DM500t in ireland. Epg only shows 2 hours of programs for most channels, any suggestions on how to get a days epg data

hi knobby, I am having problem getting all the bbc c4 utv down in laois on a 500t with a gemini 3.4 using the terr.xml file doing a scan on chorus mmds bf ie. any ideas

Get the latest gemini image

use Flash Wizard 5.0
flash gemini 3.6 package

Using whatever dreambox interface you like (universal dream up is pretty good)

then telnet to the box...:Kickassro

root, dreambox
cd /var>
chmod -R 755 keys
chmod -R 755 scce
exit
exit

reboot do the automatic bruteforce scan for your network
go back into the blue menu and enable evocam
put the dreambox on any channel and wait a minute or 10 for the keys to
auto roll and that's it.

all good info m8 but theres no /usr on dm500 ? they ned to go in var/scce and var/keys

problems with dreambox

:Kickassro:Kickassro:banana::angelwingI had a dreambox up and running, great machine. i recently had to get a new one and when i falshed it with my image i got all the channels except for bbc1,bbc2 and channel 4. I decided to try and do the process from the begining but the box will not accept any of my evo cam addons. i get a did not install error. Has anyone got any ideas for me

I have tried the following, create new image that involved the brute force scan as i mention in my previous posts. This just caused the scan to complete without the missing channels.


All other channels are working great.

Anyone out there have any ideas

Hard drive on DM 500t

I have my dm500t recording to my laptop via ethernet. I am thinking of buying a computer with wireless comms so that i can access my dm from anywhere in the house.

Has anyone got a better idea (when i say better i mean cheaper).

Is there a hard drive i can attach directly that could also interface with a wireless transmitter??????:licker:: spook :

did you try selecting the old type tunner?that pulled in the extra channels for me on cable might help with mmds

how do i select the old type tuner. I am not sure what this means

if your using the dw 1.65 image when watchin a channel press the blue button this brings up a menu then go into the 1st option and then tunner type select old type then reboot and do another scan

i've seen this problem on one transmitter

found channels np on another transmitter.

even a dm500 that have ch4 bbc1 and bbc2 moved to second transmitter, and then back to first lost these 3 channels

solution,,, reflash with dreamup and comport... don't know why this is different to flashwiz pro however.
