Ordered this coop as we plan to keep 2-3 hens COCOON CHICKEN HEN HOUSE COOP POULTRY ARK RUN BRAND NEW | eBay we are getting some rescue hens at 1 year old £4 each just up the road from us too also ordered water and food containers and a 20kg bag of food.
Just had a phone call from the company off ebay, they wanted to know the breed and how many hens i would be keeping in it and when i toldd him he said that wass fine and to make sure i let them out when ever possible which i thought is excellent of a company.
Ive ordered the coop, red mite organic powder, apple cider vinegar also organic, flubenvet wormer, water and food hoppers and a big ass bag of layers pellets with oyster grit in it.
Ive cleared a space for them just got to move an 8x6 shed today lol and im good to go. The guy with the hens said he has 40! so im going to pick up 2 or 3 depending on how big they are once ive set the coop up and seen them.
The breed is warren.
Do you need to clip their wings ive seen videos on ebay showing it. Or do they not try to fly away? I always thought chickens could not fly.

What sort of cleaning routines do you guys have? Is jeyes fluid safe to use in the coop as i know it kills bird flu etc or should i get a specific cleaner/disinfectant?
Good luck Sargie, hope all goes well mate.
P.S take some pics of your hens when they arrive and then again in about 2 months. The difference will be unbelievable as you bring them back to full health. It certainly makes you realise how poorly treated battery hens are.
Also don't worry too much if there’s a little squabble / pecking going on. Once the pecking order has been established this will stop.
