Changing From USB SSD to USB Memory Stick

Hello Everyone
I currently have a USB 128Gb SSD plugged into my H2S for recording etc.
I also have a spare USB 128Gb memory stick that I would like to use instead purely cause it would be tidier looking rather than a wire and SSD enclosure. The little thumb size Sandisk would be nice just plugged in the back ... is it simply just a case of unplugging one and plugging in the other ?
I suspect I'll need to do some rooting around in settings to see if its seen and re-download epg etc ?
