I'm thinking of getting a lumix G2,would you say this is the best in its price range ?

cheers guys

Rat, I am a huge fan of the Panasonic Lumix range. I recently got the FZ28 with a x18 zoom and its ace, even the HD video, it better than my 3CCD Camcorder.

The only downside I see about the G2 is that you will have to buy extra lens's - However this maybe what you want to do.

Anyway you will not go wrong with a lumix camera.

John, I've never heard a bad word said for Panansonic cameras.

Not many manufacturers would include competitor's products on a list of compatible lenses either: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/connect/g2.html

Though it does miss the funky Lensbaby system: http://www.lensbaby.com/index.php

I have the G1 John and can't fault it for stills.
I wish I'd hung on for the G2 and got the benefit of HD video too, but I couldn't wait for it lol

Have a look on flickr, there are lots of groups dedicated to the lumix G range and see the results others (including me) have got from it!

I'm sure you'll enjoy it m8

Just bought a Panny Luxix DMC-FS10 as a simple point and shoot camera and i have to im very impressed for the £85 i paid for it at Play.com

I have Had Fuji, Sony and my last 3 were canon.
Tried an Olympus once (not Impressed).
TBH the cheap Lumix i have is head and shoulders above the competition for the price.
