deffo m8

Got mine from amazon, can confirm it is the B version £16 inc postage

just found this tut if anybody wants to crossflash there drive have read that the 524 firnware allows cheaper discs to burn and work ok.

YOU DO NOT NEED ANY OF THESE ADDITIONAL FEATURES FOR C4'S BURNER MAX FW. Just wanted to let you guys know, that enabling these features are possible and may be an added benefit to some.

edit: Google codeguys.rpc1 (Thats the website). Go on LiteOn firmware tab. Select LiteOn iHas 624 B GL27 stock firmware.

1. Download EEProm Utility v6.2.0

2. Download Flash Utility v6.0.1

3. Backup your current EEProm

4. Backup firmware (Read it) in Flash utility (Do not click on write yet)

5. Download Flash the ATAPI.iHAS624_B.GL27.stock

6. Now flash GL27 with Flash Utility and after that use the Convert Drive feature in the EEPROM Utility to fix the LED blinking issue.

7. Shut Down computer then turn back on.

8. After that you can upgrade your drive to GL29 using the official LiteOn flasher.

9. Google firmwarehq go on Liteon page select iHas 624 B download GL29 double click, it will update firmware

10. If you crossflash your drive you will need to select the model that you crossflashed to, to write LT MAX FW to you iHas B drive.

11. Read the PDF file that comes with LT MAX FW to write LT MAX FW to your drive.

12. Crossflash your drive first then write LT MAX FW to your drive model of choice (Current model you have or crossflashed to)

I haven't brunt any yet, and all though it's been around the houses loads of times, (so please i ain't putting this here for a debate)

Cheaper disks = crap dye = burned out xbox 360 drives/broken lasers

(that's the way i look at it any way)

I just ran the patched 124b firmware through this prog and the results show what discs are supported, if anybody has any of the other dvd+9's try them out

What drive you got iliveinuk
my 124B burns datawrites ff printables fine, but when I put it in my 360 it just comes up with play dvd, so might have a look at this cross flashing, not home till the weekend so hopefully will have another read on here and see whats happening. I expected it to fail my datawrites but it burnt it fine, thought i was in luck till i put it in my 360 drive grrrr :p

What drive you got iliveinuk

I got the base version, its flashed with the cfw and burns my datawrites fine, but when put in my 360 it just says play dvd, the drive in question is a samsung, so i will update it with the new lt firmware that has just been released, although it does play the new games burnt the old way, such as gow3 etc

I have a couple other 360's in the house, one with a liteon the other with a benq, so will try them as well, but its probably cause they are cheap, i just expected a fail when they were being burnt thats all

Yeah you need sammy LT2.01 , i was doing the same lol , i now have 6 discs of bf3

Just burned Forza on a 124 crossed to a 624 with imageburn at 2.4 with AONE and can confirm this plays fine, dont know about security for online play as it's banned. Thanks dazling.

woo hoo play finally posted my drive a week and 2 days laterlol.

Diamond Media in Cleethorpes have some in £19.99 .

My drive turned up 124 B flashed with ixtreme A0ne plus and fails verify at 49% then crossflashed to a 524 and verifys perfect

Hi guys,
Just got back home, just to let you know, my baseline Ihas, burns my datawrites full face fine, the only reason it didnt play in my living room was its a samsung drive and i still needed to update it, plays fine on my other 2 with benq and liteon, so dont need verbatims by the looks of it :)

Well at first I wasn't sure because when I came to do it, the version i was flashing was exactly the same as already on. I could be wrong, but I did have to think twice about applying it again (which i did just to be sure)
