Broadband speed

I have 24 meg broadband and can download throught limewire or bitlord at a max of 300kbps.
I have been told I only recevie 6meg broadband as factors such line quality and distance make a difference.

you will find no matter what speed your broadband is that speeds do variey , even using speed test software , its not really a true reflection on your speed , apart for the News Groups download and uploads speeds will variey diff , times whom you downloading off.

What? you get the download speed? Im on a 2mb with tiscali and look at my speeds :

Im just curious, because i've done it when loads of people are online and it seems to be around 300Kbps nearly all the time, how in the world you get 800 Kbps, I really have no idea lol

Download Speed: 4040 kbps (505 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 366 kbps (45.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

my test with your one is

Download :: 2238 Kbps or 2.24 Mbps (273 kB/s)
Upload :: 276 Kbps or 0.3 Mbps (34 kB/s)

if you go to google and type in speedtest.net that is the one i use to test my speed it gives me good readings
