Being that I have not been a member here long I don't expect my post to sway people from their chosen path.........

I have said it before I came here because this forum was listed high in google's results for satellite knowledge (highly important to me) I may not be able implement the same sort of set ups, that some members have here, but my set up (whatever format that may take and it could evolve) is good enough for me. So with that in mind I thank this forum and its members.

I try to treat people as I would like to be treated......... not always easy but none the less it's how I live my life. That is not to say I do not stand my ground because I do, with one acception the internet .........Personal attacks, He said She said, blah blah blah.....etc.etc...........This forum (I believe) was set up to discuss satellite systems,people's home set ups with sections for other technology....etc......etc....... Basically knowledge. So I ask you what is the point of slanging match on the internet? Has anything been solved? Because I just don't get it............

So lets see what have I learnt this week? Well there are members here who like to jump on in for a spot individual bashing...Hmmmmmmm not much learning then? Sadly not this week.

I want to say that in my opinion if Digidude and Bobi (darkman)? got together with their individual knowledge they could probably come up with a Satellite receiver that would blow the current market out of the water but what happens here instead? Another topic turned into a slanging match..........What a waste.

This to me is so sad but there are members here joking about personal insults,attacks etc.......etc.......Where is the sharing of knowledge? (well playground knowledge) aside where is the discussions on sorting out software, receiver discussions, the list could go on and on but instead we just have a slanging match a unfairly matched slanging match at that.

How did he get all these IP addresses not only mine and danzers but Paradox as well? I was always worried about saying anything about All sh@t as I've been a member there as Coach77 for years (coach was already taken)
A worry now is if someone is passing the IP's of DM members then free speech has gone from here as he will as you will risk getting banned elsewhere.

I'll check my spelling after some Alka Seltzer, Irn Bru and paracetomol

I can assure you that NOBODYS IP addresses are being passed on, due to the simple fact that they are not stored, not even admin know peoples posting IP addresses.

i can guarantee you, 101% that your posting IP addresses are not known to anybody, and if they are, then they did not come from DW, as DW does not store this information in any form.

This was known when the allegations were first made. Give someone enough rope.........

I regret that my being a member here is something that can no longer continue there is so much mistrust here. Allegations are being made left,right and centre some are petty imo. others are extremely serious (privacy laws being broken) my god.

Even though I do not post as much as some here I do enjoy the discussions of people over coming obstacles, be them technical or other.

I believe being a member here is privilege, not a right, for a forum to work you need rules of what is and is not acceptable and in this past month in my view some of them have been bent if not broken. The mods here and admin have tried to keep this forum in order, they have tried to be balanced in their actions (a thankless task and some what never ending. imo.) So I say thanks to those individuals.

I do hope that this forum will get this mess sorted one day and I hope that in time I will be able to come back, but as things stand, instead off offering a place to enjoy the discussion's of the continually evolving Home Satellite industry. It now leaves a bitter taste..............
