Hey guys,

Been out of the scene for a while, mainly due to no games coming out that I want to play, but also down to laziness on my part.

I've got a friend with a first generation DMS Wii thinking of having it chipped at last so I was wondering what is currently the best/easiest, dare I say cheapest chip to use?

I'm running an NTSC D2B with a YAOSM external install, all very nicely to done by Wiiman and was wondering if that is still the way to go. Is YAOSM still updated?

I would personally still recommend yaosm as it has been kept upto date, and works just fine with any game so far, and it's cheap.

The main advantage between the two is the cost yaosm is very cheap as its open source, if you want a yaosm kit i can provide one.

The other advantage is there is one less point to solder than a wiikey.

i prefer wiikey, but that's me, others have their own preference.

yes, wiikey is easily updated via DVD, and the console never needs to be taken apart again.

no wires sticking out, no external device needed.
