Best Antivirus/Spyware

Hi All

I am looking for advice on the best antivirus, firewall and spyware software, paid or free..

I know all have different opinions and it would be great to hear some views..

May even be worth setting a poll if there isnt already one?

I use hijack this , careful what you delete though. I don't use a firewall or anti-virus , just keep a good eye on task manager. Run ad aware now and then .. stay off the porn sites

AVG and Zone Alarm

A set up im sure alot of you guys have

i use avast, its ok, can be annoying sometimes but its very easy and detects everything which is good. used to use norton for a number of years. too power hungry altho it was good. for firewall i used to use MS built in firewall it was excellent, but too excellent, would block most stuff so im using zonealarm pro, recommended to me by another DW member and its great. bit fiddly with the settings but once set up its great.

I agree with you there, nortons take up to much of the system, also a pain in the arse to remove

kaspersky and bitdefnder are the best antivirus out there along with zonealarm pro as your firewall.....get these and dont worry about a thing...spybot, spyware doctor, xoftpy, webroot spysweeper are a few of the best antispyware

got about the same plus zonealarm pro takes half and hour to start the computer lol . just leave it on now

nah mate i`m a hacker so part of what i do is trying to get past every single security app there is without being detected
i have tested and tried em all and i can get past every single 1 no problem but Kaspersky is a lot harder than the rest.
Spyware Doctor is the only app out there that can detect and block my private 100% undetected rootkit, it cant say what it is but it knows its a bad process so it blocks it.
