Av to vga

Hey guys im new to this forum
So please make me correct if im posting this thread in wrong place.

I bought a new satellite tv connection and the decorder that coverts satellite signals to tv signals has only Av out for video and audio.

I have a computer monitor a samsung Led monitor with VGA port.
Can i still connect my decorder to my led monitor?

Is this the correct cable converter

Btw my led monitor is a 19 inch wide screen one. Resolution 1368* 768
So can i see tv full screen?

That is VGA to Analogue, you need the other way round. Never come across Analogue to VGA converter that was any good.

And here is a idea. Can i plug my avi cable coming from my decorder to this cable unit and i can directly plug the vga part to my led monitor

As I just said, that is VGA to AV, no good for what you want. What you need is something similar to this,

As I said the picture quality is likely to be poor
