Have posted a help request for anybody with a proggy and a fun but no takers yet, I'm due to go past mancville/M6 in mid Jan, if no-one sorts this, I'll call in and sort the fecking thing coz its doing my head in now, poor madmanc must be raging by now!

hello m8 to go into debug mode of the box .
This is how its done plug the power to the stb and when u see ld20 on display press and hold the channel down button and in few seconds u will see theld40 on display.
Then u will be indebug mode.

Good luck mate but my offer is still there and I'm coming from Teesside, unless any member closer will offer to help.
Don't whack it mate, if needs be I will call in and bring my "bag of tricks" as its called and set the net id with a fun.
[EDIT] If I wasnt down to my last fun I would prog one and send it to you, any offers from other members?

jtag connected. found problem maplins had given me 16 oms instead of 51 ohms resistors......******S
so forget all the ic builds just 5 wires all with 100 oms resistors(luky i had some on the wifes rabbit ey) except the earth....................
ok now for next stage...... start to read again lmao

Tag connected, job done, just the right bytes now and you're away mate.
PS. Got my tag from Mash at TMC, superb bit of kit, as always with Mash's gear.

Not a problem mate, I believe in helping the community that has given me so much, I gave a working box away earlier to another member and he gave me some boxes he was having bother with, one of these looks like its going to 41063 where another member has bought a 4001 by mistake.
Spread the knowledge and help, its good for all of us.

enter each of these bytes in ocd one at a time press enter make sure mac mot is running in the background m8 or use fun file posted
byte 0x3120000C = $A0
byte 0x3120000D = $64
byte 0x3120000E = $13
byte 0x3120000F = $38
and thats it? do i need to read out while im hear?and will the above set the pin aswell as the net id? cheers.and what will the pin be lol......

A064 = 41060 in decimal mate
Set pin in EM if you've done a reset.
What you're doing with the ocd commands is to "poke" (old term, I know) the values into that memory location.

Do net id but leave tag connected after, go into EM and set pin and you can check net id has took at the same time.

yes set net id and pin together then connect feed and it will update

let the numbers roll.......
tv was on
went to engineers menu and set the pin number.
checked tv again all ok checked pin on a porn channel and all is good!!!!!

OK JUST DONE THE OTHER BOX....
was well gutted when it took 2 minutes lmao........
one box has the 2 resistors removed so i take it talk back is cut so no on demand??
other box resistors are gone but the pads are bridged with solder this box gets ondeman...... is it ok to leave or should i unsolder??? this box was my mates subbed but he uses summit else now..... he gave box to me but im sure he said he got billed for ppv lol.... is this because im on next street usin his box??? do virgin see it as still his??
