animal crossing

tbh I havent looked in this section for ages and lots of new things around now lol

dont even know what Gecko OS is m8 :(

it's a homebrew bit of software.
to be honest, I don't know exactly what it does either (LOL).

it seems to allow other region games to play without problems.
it fixed wii music for me which displayed the same problems as you've reported.

The Wii local version has 3.3E on it.

I've just updated and am now on 3.3E :-(

Wum said no firmware Grrrrr!!

did you set WUM up with the correct settings, ie firmware you currently have and region?

looks like Rat needs to learn some homebrew :)

to install those wads you need to do it with Wad Manager in the Homebrew Channel.

theres a softmod sticky that will get the homebrew channel on for u mate, you could use a Pal backup being as you're Wii is chipped.

which 3.3e is it mate, do you know?

if it's 3.3ev2 you're best option would be to take the ninny update to 3.4e then hack it again and get back to 3.2eb.

that's what i reckon.

never used expert mode in WUM ..

WUM says nothing... (blank field)

but when brickblocked (using WUM) it changes to 'no updates' (or something similar)
a bug in WUM if you ask me

you can roll back the firmware quite easily (I've been to 3.4, but put 3.2 back)

Downgraded my Wii from 3.3E to 3.2E - Cheers for the SD card and help Highlander!

Ran Animal Crossing ISO (Wii-Local) through WUM and replaced firmware with 3.2E, but still wanted to install system update!

Ran the same ISO through WUM again and used brickblock option this time.

Burnt ISO and working fine without asking for system update!
