I have set up the alien 2 to run e2 image tryed to setup mgcam with no sucsess now strugling with oscam can anyone help i think this would be best by pm.

It sounds like your Using The HDMU image, if so mgcamd does not work but oscam does. Mgcamd works on any other image I have tried.

This is the way my oscam config is set.

im using the ProTriplex_Alpha_v1 image and cant find the tuxbox folder lol

i tried two different e2 images and could not get oscam or mgcam to run, booted back to spark installed the all_cam_spark and mgcam running smooth with no problems.

Is it possible to instal cooltv guide and crossepg downloader to spark if so where would i find the files.

installing them to spark is a work in progress m8, theres a few different teams, spread across a few different forums working on it for spark, as well as the main R&D people in hungary

in E2, cross epg runs, but sometimes bombs out for no apparent reason, ive not yet seen coolepg running on it, but, i dont use coolepg myself, i always use the multi graphical epg, even on my dm800 and VU+ duo receivers as its what i prefer

things like this ARE something i am playing with as well though while also talking with amiko peeps via skype

All running ok now on E2 side cooltv working cross EPG working only problem I have now is all the HD channel dont work lol its like having a TM800.

cross epg never worked on the TM800 lol

are the HD channels simply not clearing, or is there a message etc on the screen?

I got mine today did a scan but thats about it... So far

Gone back to spark all HD chans ok oscam running fine so not a hardware issue. Will try another image

not yet but don`t really want to sort all the fav`s out im much too lazy for that lol. I will do a scan in morning though just to see if it shows the hd chans.

I've been told there's a tuner driver issue being worked on so it doesn't matter what E2 image you use, you'll have the prob.

I've been told the interim solution is, and I quote a wiser man:

scan the tranponders manually off the dvbs 2 chanells and all will work

the fix will work its way into subsequent releases
