Adding Missing Channels Tutorial - for Noobs

mrdude I am using the services & bouquets you created in one of your early Pli modded image, now since you are in Scotland and I am in tghe Midlands I would not have expected the Adult bouquet you created to work for me but it works perfectly. The only common factor between us is that we are both on 6952 so these channel settings must be same for people on 6952 but different for those on 6887.

Actually we might well be using the same file - however 6952 uses many different transponders in different areas m8, trust me in some areas the transponder and channel addresses is different.

It's just luck we are using the same addresses m8. Leicester for example uses 6952 however transponder details and channel addresses are different from yours or mine.

Edit:
The only way to fully understand what's going on with transponders and channel addresses is to download lots or different services files and compare them - then you will have an idea of how they work.

I am using gemini and the DW cables.xml it seems to have picked up these channels but they dont work even with a booster the screen stays black. will this thread fix this problem?

Am i right in thinking they would be different for 6952

Looking at a dbox services.xml, is it the transponder id or the onid i use??? this is a neutrino services file.

Finally sorted it, its different for 6952.

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Will need some tweaking, when night comes and some deads in there, but you can delete what you want.

Anyone got a 6952 version of this full list :)

I do not have the full list for 6952 but these are the ones that work for me.

On my subbed box (TW 6952) on the TV guide it lists Red Hot Raw, does anyone have the settings for this channel? Can't find any 6952 files on here listing it.

I am just guessing but one of those is Adult TV and the other is probably TVX. there are about 7 of these channels on my Eurovox and I can view the same channels on dreambox.

Just checked and yes, they are those channels but in reverse order.

Still would like to know about RH Raw though.

TBH I don't think there is one. My 'All services bouquet' has a load of channels that I have never seen and my Eurovox sees all the channels as far as I know.

k so i flashed my DM again scanned the channels uploaded to Dreamedit
made my own folders drag channels around, make XXX folder then FTP etc/enigma/cable
found the userbouquets file then added

think I need some help

please help i opened the file with ultraedit and i get
<channel serviceID="0191" name="Hustler TV UK" tsid="0004" onid="0031"/>

not like the ones that you say here please help i dont know what i am supposto add thanks daz

That line is from a dbox2 services.xml file. The examples above are from a services file from an enigma dreambox image.

The dbox services file is only to get the information, i.e. transponder id, service id, etc.

You need to use the information from that file to add the lines to the dreambox services file.

so from the dbox2 file then
<channel serviceID="0191" name="Hustler TV UK" tsid="0004" onid="0031"/>
how do i tell what i need to use what info is what?

name=Hustler TV UK
transponder id=0004
serviceID=0191

Have a look at your current services file and see how the format is. You should be able to see a pattern between the channels.

Use the data above to add a new entry to the file. Maybe you already have channels that are broadcasted on transponder id 4 and you just need to add the channel name and service id.
