acekard2i not working plz help

got an acekard2i but the damn thing wont work
i put the AKAIO.1.8.1 firmware on the sd card and then AK2IFW_UPDATE_14_DSI.NDS and followed the instructions to update the card with nintendo ds lite but the card doesnt get recognize after the update when i put it in the dsi console,
any1 any ideas
the dsi xl is on 1.4e

plz help as i wanna get this done for the child for xmas

also could be a contact problem if the dsi doesnt see it.

im trying to update the acekard through my ds lite and when i get to the part were i have to start the update
its saying eject card and put back in and press B but when i eject card it knocks the ds off? i dont see still this part on any of the tuts
it just says press start and it shud update, well any way did the update and card still doesnt get reconized

your acecard must be working in your dslite if you can do the update in it.

can u get any games to work on the dslite?

yes it works fine on the ds lite with the firmware and update done
but when put in the xl it says no card inserted ?

yes buzzer it plays the real games mate

well the only thing i can think of if the contacts m8.

if you hold your acecard upside down and look at it from the back you will see the copper contacts.

sometimes the contacts don't connect properly iand need pushed out.

trick is to stick a piece of paper or thin card between the pcb and case.

i have uploaded some photo's to show you.

remember to put them in neat i have left them hanging out to demonstrate what i mean

When you put the acekard in your ds lite what does it display before you launch it?

Acekard2 symbol, danny phantom or alex rider storm breaker?

tried it mate no joy ive 6 acekards and they are doing the same thing

Or it's the wrong update.

try this.
format your sd card then install the akiou 1.8.1 firmware on your card with a game and put it in your ds.

confirm the game is working...
then download the 1.4.1 patch

there is two files on it one is for updating in a ds and one is for updating in a dsi.

use the file for updating in ds and attempt to do the update.

you just open the file like a game and follow the instructions.

post back your results.....

i am thinking the cards are clones now, the ds shouldn't switch off when you re-insert the card.
the screen should stay the same while you re-insert, then once you hit "B"

the screen changes and you have to hit start and you will see it updating.

just a thought,
you have got your ds plugged into charger when doing this?
if the battery goes when doing an update it can brick your card.....

im a complete d=ck lol
i wsas useing the 1.4 update instead of the 1.4.1 fs
got 3 cards sorted and working on the dsi xl
but now i think i might have messed my other 3 up with
the 1.4 update also 3 of memory cards are now write protected
and i cant format them
any1 know away round this
