Phone Unlocking 6280 Unlocked?

Hi all just paid 3 £15 to unlock phone phone lock was lifted but when i put any sim in now cant get signal anywhere. When in menu if orange sim in comes up as orange sim and same with any other networks. Anyone no how to cure this or had this prob any help appreciated..

Do a master reset *#7780#

Then reset network as GSM only: setings>phone>>network mode>dual mode, umts and gsm

Also try updating the firmware.

thanks for the info mate much appreciated done the reset but is asking for security code you wouldnt know this by any chance. cheers

nokia default is 12345. if it wasn't that, then you'll need to take it to a shop. No free solution for bb5 security codes

Sorry, it hasn't worked properly the site I quoted from made no mention of needing a security code, or I'd have told you to do *#2640# to display your security number first.

NB The site states that it doesn't support BB5 phones including the 6280, but further down it states it does support the BB5 version of the 6280. So it may or may not work.

However, there are mixed reviews on the forums as to whether master code generators from the IMEI number works.

• Some suggest using the first 5 digits of the code generated if the full code doesn't work.
• Some that dejan's master code calc (found at _http://nfader.z-host.ru/) works some of the time for BB5 phones.
• Others say the only way to do it is to attach it to a clip to reset it.

You've probably only got a certain number of attempts too, after which you'll only be able to do it by attaching it to hardware as Blartiartfast says.
