4200e- HELP!!!

Hi guys im having a bit of trouble with my 4200e,im c&w area.its been running fine for the last 12 months but latley its been a nightmare,it keeps rebooting every 30secs or so,even as as i go on the net,ive tried several other macs but its always the same.Today when ive tried to change a mac via telnet all that comes on the screen is :-

so i cant run the factdef command anylonger due to the above.

on the configuration screen on the fibrecoax page it says:-

as i write this page it has rebooted twice,so ive had to wait for it to come back online.
Any help would be much apreciated.
i think it might be bricked but not to sure
 
hi m8 thanks for the reply.ive tried loads of other macs since last monday and it still reboots every 30secs or so.its only today when i tried to change to another mac that i was getting that message above.

The problem lies here , your upstream power level is on the max for the SB modems , this has to be brought down , remove any unwanted splitters , check your connectors and cable to look for faults.

or............... theyv changed the ubr's around near you and your tryed and tested ubr ripped macs are now on the same 1 as u...... happened to me a few months bak......
 
thanx for the reply lads,ive done wot you said Koevoet (checkd all wires etc) but i need my 4 way splitter on cause of subbd modem and my cable box.I disconected from the main feed and reconected them all at the same time,i managed to change to another mac and spoofed my pc mac ounce again,then went into the 192.168.100.1 browser page and the Power Level was still at 58 dBmV ,so i tried without my subbd box and my cable box but the power lvl still remains at 58 dBmV.Its been on now for over an hour so fingers crossed its sorted itself out but when i telnet 192.168.100.1 this keeps coming up RNG_RSP: Adjusting US +4.50db,wot does it mean??

Plus is there any way i can reduce the Power lvl from 58 dBmV as i still need to use a splitter for my subbed box

doesnt an attenuator bring down the power levels? madmanc has a great point too

could try some macs u scanned yerself a few weeks back if they've changed ubrs round

first thing i thought was mac conflict
 
hi,which attenuater would u recomend 3db 6db or 10db .im going to try my macs l8r.im going to try everything because it has started rebooting again :(

going off your above post if any id get a 3

if u got 6 and look at ur db in 1st post id say a 3 wil lbring it down to 2.9ish
