2.2.1 Peer Safe Yes or No

Hi

I have a share with somebody with no reshare. Just me and him sharing. He is on 2.2.1. Is it safe to share with a peer on 2.2.1 as I heard a lot about it being reveal serial no.

The guy says the problem lies in the server and if that is not on 2.1.4 then it is ok. Could someon clarify

The powers above dont have to use 2.2.1 to see your serial number my friend if u give a share out to someone and you dont know who they are you are always running the risk

Not sure, about the 2.2.1 story doing the rounds, havent seen any conclusive evidence. Doesnt matter anyway of your ring is private.
