1.4e dsi and acecard

Is there anyway to downgrade or any fix for the acekard 2i for the 1.4e version of the software or do i need to buy a hyper r4i card? lol

if it is a newish acecard it should be ok with the 1.4 dsi.

are you sure it is set up right?

you will need an older dsi or a dslite to use it.

put it on the card and start it like a game the follow the instructions...

pretty simple m8.

or you could just do the 1.4.1 update...

I think im screwed lol, its for aneighbour who's bough a pink ds for xmas, and it came preloaded with 1.4e on it, i assumed it wouldnt so ordered her a acekard but i guess that was the wrong thing to do lol

Anyone wanna buy a acekard?

Yeah, I'v got an older DS i have, but the card is for a DSi (Does that matter?)

acecards can play on any ds m8...

here is what to do:

1. reformat your sd (fat 32)

2. download the latest akiou firmware.

extract the files and copy the _aiou folder and the akmenu4.nds file to root of sd card (do not put them in a folder).

3. add a game or two.

here is a couple of games i have tested and uploaded for someone else.
extract the files and copy them to the root of your sd card.

5. test the card in the dslite and the dsi.

post back how you get on.

and we will take it from there..

ah ok, I'v flashed it using the insurctions above, i didnt relise i though the flash would update the ds and not the card (But its flashed the card and theres a load of games on it now, just waiting for the neighbour to bring the DSI back round so i can give it a try!

you see m8,
the 1.4 and 1.4.1 update flashes the acecard itself.
it updates the card to bybpass nintys secutity on the dsi itself.

the akiou firmware is like the loader that goes on the sd card.
this gets updated regularly to bypass security measures on newer roms.

hi buzzer you helped me out last week with problems with the r4 cards which i got working thanks to your help it was much appreciated i have another problem my daughter got a dsi xl for christmas version 1.4e ive given her my acekard ive have done what you said in the other posts to flash the acekard to 1.4.1 but the card said it cant be updated would i need to get a newer acekard your help once again would be much appreciated

have you the acekard or acekard2..

the original acekards wont work with the dsi... needs to be the 2i

on the front of it it says acekard 2 version 2.1

first thing back up your sd card then format it.


download akaio 1.8.1 firmware, extract files and copy to root of sd card.

add a few games,
then test in dslite, then dsi......

ok done that works fine in the dsl put into dsi xl it recognises that acekard is inserted when i click on the acekard icon i get an error has occurred press and hold the power button to turn the system off and to refer to the user manual for details

ok tried that in the dsl what i get is ak2i firmware update 14 chip id 0fc2 hw:8080 this cartridge cant be updated

try updating using this file....
