Manchester United thread

"We'll play all the players who were involved at Southampton in the last round," added the boss. "Bebe will play, so will the two da Silvas, Brown, O'Shea, Chicharito. We're strong in midfield with Anderson, Gibson and Carrick all available."

Fook about man, Strong in midfield with Gibson and Carrick available? what the hell.
Looks like another bloody match with that clown Gibson

Ryan Giggs signs new Manchester United contract

Veteran Welsh winger Ryan Giggs has signed a one-year contract extension at Manchester United.

It means the 37-year-old will take his time at Old Trafford into a remarkable 21st year, having made his club debut as a substitute on 2 March, 1991.

And having already played 24 times for United this season, Giggs says he still has much to contribute to the team.

"It is great to know I'm contributing to the team's success. I feel I've still got a lot to offer," he said.

"All I've ever wanted to do is play for United and I've been lucky enough to do that for 20 years.

"This is an exciting time to be involved with so many good young players coming through."

Giggs has made more than 850 appearances for the club and recently played his 600th Premier League game.

"You run out of words to describe Ryan Giggs," said Sir Alex Ferguson.

"He is a marvellous player and a wonderful man.

"To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level in such a physically demanding position at his age requires a special person.

"He is still turning in man-of-the-match performances and his experience is so vital for the younger players in the squad."

Giggs' incredible haul of 32 winners' medals includes 11 Premier League and two Champions League titles.

Ryan giggs

What a joke, I posted that this guy was a legend in football, but had to remvoe it he is nothing but a coont, goes around fecking his brothers wife, slappers from night clubs behind his wifes back.

Nothing from man utd is true apart from success, all your players are scumbags lol.

Enjoy your success but the people delivering the success are nothing but scum lol.

Enjoyed that edit

Ryan giggs

Well for me Ryan Giggs is probably the most professional player ever to have played the game, he looks after himself well, he never gets in these stories that other united players seem to.

Off the pitch you do not hear anything, on the pitch he goes about his business, and while maybe losing a yard of pace, just to have him with the young players teaching them football and how to be a professional is massive for utd.

He should in my opinion also be part of the back room staff because he is a real role model for kids. in his day he was one of the best wingers in the world, and in my opinion a true legend of the game.

From an Arsenal Fan :)

But fook his 1999 goal he can stick that up his **** ;)

Mick
agree 100%.. hate the "dung" with a vengence...but giggs has been awesome. you can stick your george bests, "gazza", and a few more... but he is one player i truly rate as "world class"..bobby charlton MUST be his dad!!!!! but cally may have been there....
and thats from a scouser... a liverpool supporter of course.................

what a hopeless performance lol.. we didnt create anything of any bloody note... anderson was our best player and he only played 45mins.... the likes of gibson, obertan and bebe arent even upto non-league level! if these 3 are part of utd's future then we're in trouble.. i say put the 3 of them on flebay with a buy it now of £2.99 with free flippin shipping!

Yea well unfortunately Gibson had 4 good passes including that assist, which were the best passes of the match, so I bet he will have actually improved his image, I was hoping he would play absolute dire so Fergie would finally see he is useless.

Carrick needs to go as well. And if I was Fergie I would ring up Quieroz and ask for a refund on his opinion of Bebe. It's like him and Obertan did not even care

fergie hit the nail on the head when he said some players didnt do themselves any justice... gibson had a decent 1st half against a NON-LEAGUE team, but then disappeared in the 2nd. He has not awareness or positional sense... and the less said about bebe & obertan the better... £7.4m on someone who u havent even seen play and what really makes me sick is that on the that deadline day when we signed bebe, spurs paid £8 for van der vaart who plays in a position that really needs strengthening and then fergie says there's no value in the market... sneijder £12m, vdv £8m, ozil £12m, khedira £8m......

Think Fergie is goin thru one of his deaf dumb n blind phases.Remember Kleberson,Djemba Djemba,Ricardo and the like? U got to admire him for stickin by his men but sometimes its just a bit too much loyalty - or ya think he dont wanna admit he's fecked up?

French left-back Evra, 29, has won three Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League with the Red Devils.
"Ever since I arrived at United, it's been a dream come true playing here," he told the club's official website.
"The fans, the players, the manager and the staff all work hard to make this club the best in the world.
"I've won a lot in the last five years, but I want to win more and I know that's the mentality of everyone here."
United boss Alex Ferguson said: "Patrice has developed into a key character in the dressing room.
"It's great that he's committed himself to Manchester United. His experience and talent will be increasingly important to us.
"He is unquestionably one of the world's best left-backs."
United are four points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.

Sir Alex Ferguson expects a storm to be made over the incident which Roberto Martinez felt should have seen Wayne Rooney sent off against Wigan Athletic.

Manchester United striker Rooney appeared to catch Latics midfielder James McCarthy with his elbow during the early stages of his team's 4-0 win at the DW Stadium.

Referee Mark Clattenburg awarded a free-kick to Wigan, but chose not to take any action against England international Rooney.

After reviewing the incident, United boss Ferguson felt Clattenburg made the correct decision, although he still anticipates a media furore.

"I have had a chance to see it," said Ferguson. "There is nothing in it.

"But, what will happen, the question has been asked and because it is Wayne Rooney the press will raise a campaign to get him hung by Tuesday or electrocuted or something like that.

"It is unbelievable. Watch the press. It will be interesting to see it."

However, Ferguson's Wigan counterpart Martinez is adamant that Rooney should have been shown a red card for the challenge.

"I saw the incident clearly and the referee did as well because he gave the free-kick," said Martinez.

"Once you give a free-kick it is quite clear that it is a red card. When you look at the replay, it is quite clear he catches James McCarthy in the face with his elbow.

"If one of my players had done that, I would think he was very lucky to stay on the pitch.

"It is a big call in the game. It is unfortunate because the referee saw it but he didn't feel it was a red card.

"It was not because he was Wayne Rooney. It was an incident in the game. That is it.

"I saw the referee at half-time. He said he felt it was not a red card and that Rooney had just clipped McCarthy."

Mick McManus would be proud to see the forearm smash making a comeback on saturday afternoon tv.

im not a fan of Rooney... but he plays for United so i will have to defend him..
he was lucky to stay on the pitch.. my biggest problem was that he put his team in jeopardy to let go of some frustration!!

but the ref saw the incident and didnt send him off.. the FA being the FA will probably do somethin about it.. you know coz he is a Man Utd player...

i just hope they can have the same consistancy as these

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBYpzicKdsU]YouTube - The FA do it again...[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFhmUbHbW2o]YouTube - Steven elbows Danny[/ame]

the FA never charged either player for an elbow.. if they got away with it.. surely Rooney has to.. also the ref SAW rooney's incident and never gave him a card...

on a side note..
Javier Hernandez... 9 goals in 8 starts!! now THATS value in the market!!
