4.1e wii now out

just an heads up ,i just updated my wii and to my shock it showed 4.1e.

i ran the 4.0e apps to see if i can softmod and it works fine with the 4.0e instructions,also works fine and plays resort perfect.

hi i made a mistake and updated to 4.1e but i can still seem to get backups to work can i get back to 3.2e so i can install starfall again

do you have softmii installed by any chance mate, if so just restore your nand if you have one backed up, but you could just try it mate and see how you get on.
edit: just googled it and it says you can do it with firmware downgrader.

Hi guys just tried thid upgrading from 3.2 and i get all the to installing system menu and i get error ret = -1036
any help at all?

I upgraded from 4.0E to 4.1E without problems.

When I went from 3.2E to 4.0E it wasn't just a case of running the updater, there were several other steps involved

Might be worth writing a sticky guide to upgrade from 4.0E to 4.1E?

I did the following:

Installed cIOS38 rev13b to IOS249 using Network install mode
Ran the 4.1 Updater
Re-installed Preloader 0.29 using the new hacks.ini file

All was good

13 or 13a are the favourites i think mate i use 13a ive never run into any trouble using it. i thought 14 was due out does anyone have a date for that? cheers

manually install patched-ios60.wad then run waninkoko's 4.1 updater.. no more error -1036
