Sony Tv Cable Tuner Setup

I have had several people ask about the set up of the sony tv with built in cable tuner. My set up is as follows:-

Enter "Digital Auto Tuning" in menu, select "cable"
Scan Type Quick Scan
Frequency 666.75
Net ID 41048
Symbol Rate 6.952
Service Type All Services

Adjust settings to suit your area, then do a scan for channels.

I am using a diablo cam for decoding, programmed with latest underworld image, this is pre programmed for all areas you may need to update latest keys manually as mine did not auto update. I have read that you can use a Matrix cam and a dragon cam with a card. You need to use the bk from cam in the card and set ird to 00000000's. I have also read that a blue zeta cam or joker cam can be used programmed with joker image 0.79.

i have a diablo

if i were to put the cam serial number.........as a bk on a funcard.....then the cam serial is only
12 digits.............so what do i enter for the last 4 digits?????

Don't need card for diablo cam, programme cam using cas 3 programmer and underworld image, go into cam menu and make sure latest keys are in for your area and BINGO.

Madmanuk you need to search for a retailer selling Sony tv's and make sure it has built in cable tuner, Mine came from Makro.

i am familiar with the underworld files ......i also have humax 5400 and use the cam with this .

but just for the fun of it for cable

can you explain a bit more m8 because the files you put on for u/wrold are for sat stuff??

if i go into cam menu??.......what next and wher do i input keys
or do you mean make a bin file or manually enter keys as to where to put them

Hi Bobbypeggy, I am using underworld 1.42, go to CA Module Set up, Keys, current channel keys edit, Press ok to edit, then enter current key for your area. Also list keys edit, nagravision, then area ie. Ex C&W edit keys. should then decode channels.

Thanks for the tutorial m8. I'm thinking of buying one of these sets with a cable tuner and experiment with the old Irdeto freecam I have lying around from the old sat days.

hi guys ,well done a bit of research ,listened to nozzer with regards to nagra so i went and brought a nagravision cam and plan to put a rom 11 in it ,just wondered if anybody has done the a simular thing ie;boxkey and ird ,best regards danny

2.3 is the latest cam version for diablo and any new underworld image should do the job.

Diablo 2.3 Light with underworld 142 on it. If using Nagra cam will need to extract BK from it first to put on card.

Hi Guys,

I need a bit of help on this one please.

I have got a sony and connected up to cable, recieving FTA channels no problem.

I have a Diablo CAM 2.2, I have downloaded Underworld 1.42

Following instructions earlier in the thread, I went to an encrypted channel, got a message saying the keys had expired. Went into CAM settings and KEYS, goto Current Channel Keys Edit, something flashes on screen, and then back to same menu,

When looking in the List Keys Edit, and then into Nagravision Providers, cannot see anything that relates to UK cable setup.

Where am I going wrong. Please Help !!

I have 3 panasonic plasmas all have a cam slot on rear.
I would love to get this working on them but when I look on hisar at the
Cams I can't see where u connect the cable feed or am I missing something ,also do need to buy a gas programmmer or do I just buy them preprogramed with joker software and my last question is will they actually work with panasonic plasma

Gemplus cam works Ok with a/u.
