Tutorial/Guide to FTP Rom7 file to Dreambox

I've got a netgear router connected and also a Ethernet cable,
but never ftp'ed anything to my dreambox and i flashed it via null modem cable,
Can someone give me a tutorial or a guide for connecting my dreambox to my router.
woud really appreciate it

Theres a guide to FXp in downloads, you will need to get flashfxp aswell which is also in downloads.

If your Router info is say 192.168.1.1

PC
IP: 192.168.1.100
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 192.168.1.1

Set the Dreambox to say
IP:192.168.1.99
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Nameserver: 192.168.1.1
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

User: root
Pass: dreambox

Use a ftp program and connect to 192.168.1.99 using the above user / pass

I am having trouble FTP to my dream box.

I can ping the box in comand prompt but FLASHFXP is not talking.

I have got my PC Router and dream box Ip address. They are as follows

router 192.168.254.200
pc 192.168.254.199
dream box 192.168.254.222

I have tried the dream box at 192.168.254.201 but this did not work either. is their any sugestions?

what have u entered for gateway and nameserver on ur dreambox ? this needs to be ur routers ip addy

you don't need to change dream box ip it is better to change pc ip with last number of dreambox ip ex:dmbox ip is 192.168.254.222 then pc 192.168.254.223 or221. only one last digit would be more or less

the you dont go near the modem and connect your dreambox straight to your ethernet socket on your pc.
