This just about sums it up. Being vaccinated isn't only about protecting yourself. It's also about protecting others from yourself. Being vaccinated is a very unselfish act. Geniuses such as yourself are the main reason this awful virus will be amongst us for a long time, possibly even for ever.
this virus will be here for ever, just like the common cold, and just like the flu. We need to learn to deal with it. Its not going anywhere, and it will continue to mutate, just like the flu virus does.
since march, the government has been expecting a 3rd wave, around august. They expect 70% of people hospitalised and dying in this wave to have had 2 vaccine shots, read about it here(page 21)

All along, they have said that getting vaccinated will 'give YOU a greater level of protection'. The YOU in his is the important bit. You can, and will still catch it, you can and will still spread it, and, you may or may not show any symptoms.
As you have had the jab(s), your body has created antibodies, just like if you had caught covid. The jabs work in one of 2 different ways, one is very close to gene therapy, the other is a normal vaccine.
people say 'but if you havent been vaccinated, you cannot go on holiday', and, from monday, youll need your 'covid passport' to get into most night clubs in england.
If youve had BOTH jabs, after a couple of weeks, youll have a covid passport thats valid for 28 days. The government can revoke this pass at any time by saying that you need a 3rd jab as a booster. At the time of this post, after 28 days, you can simply renew it, as long as you havent had covid, or been told to isolate
If you have NOT had a single jab, you can get a 48 hour pass, by simply taking an at home LFT test, and registering the result (as long as its negative, obvs), the pass will be available to you within less than 2 hours
If you have had covid, and after 10 days, have a negative PCR test, you are deemed to have natural immunity for at least 180 days, and will have a 180 day pass
all of the above is available on just about every government and NHS website, you can phone the covid help line or ask your GP
Having the vaccine is about protecting yourself, and only yourself, and trying to ensure that you dont become a burden on the already stretched NHS.
The majority of covid cases in the future, will be vaccinated people, because more people will have been vaccinated
