What I want to know is, who will pay her legal cost for the appeal ? ISIS ?, please don't say legal aid
Have you ever heard the expression "Justice is blind"?
So yes if she is entitled to legal aid then thats what she gets.
Really if you dont like the law the way it is dont ignore it or try and get round it, campaign to change it?
I would be happy for much stronger treason laws to be in place, and for easier convictions for such, but it should not be for the home sec to decide a case on his own the accused still needs a fair trial.
And changes of the law need go through parliament.
There have been cases in the past that have been looked at and found to be unjust those provoking a change in the law but it does not change what happens in the original case as that was the law at the time.
Bare in mind that all of this only applies to our own laws not really international ones (although we could campaign to change them too).
Which all means in the end we are going to have to take her back, the stalling just may jive time to improve the treason laws but I doubt it.
I do not support this girl what so ever - what I do support is everyone's rights under the law, to remove hers opens the door for yours or mine to be removed
