Well I know this much , a rough ride was predicted and that's what we'll face but

It's a temp thing and were a strong enough nation to withstand it. I mean, look at the european countries ? give me strength, they'll hold us to ransom ? lol I find that hilarious. There's not much of a fight left in them.
Stand up , be proud to be from the UK and lets crack on. I'm confident as a nation we can withstand any crap thrown at us as long as the doubters sit back and shut the F up

...er, no. Despite what the jackboot mob would prefer, we still have a thing going in this country called free speech. I know it's inconvenient, but you're stuck with it I'm afraid.

Yes freedom of speech I'm all for it but in this case I think your confusing it with "Freedom of moan and groan doom and gloom cause we lost we'll all die and go to hell".

It reminds me of the guy stood in the corner in the bookies ripping his ticket up "My horse should have won that, it's a fix !!"

Now we know how we all voted and how the vote went , lets close this thread and start one
"WERE OUT THE EU, WILL I DIE TOMORROW ?"

sorry what are you talking about this could be caused by our own government or it could be another global banking error . Cheap interest rates for borrowers means low interest rates for savers it also means people borrowing more than they can afford . Bang another housing bubble . If that hits them everything goes tits up . Now without stable countries around us .Germany France America this could easily happen again . Your little England attitude is crazy . We don't need to be part of the EU but we don't really need them for trade . This rough ride your on about could then into a disaster or it could be over in 6 months No one knows , but this attitude they need us more than we need them is just plain silly . We both need each other and we need a good wroking relationship with them or we are in trouble

This is where some seem to get confused. Trade with countries such as France and Germany can and will continue, albeit without the bureaucracy and meddling from Brussels. Trade agreements can and will be opened up between The UK and other non EU countries, who knows, we may even get New Zealand lamb again at affordable prices. Be able to fish our own waters sustainably and profitably. Control our own borders and make moving to Britain a privilege instead of a right.
This is like being given a second chance to get things right. We have endured 2 world wars which as good as bankrupted this nation, yet the nation bounced back. Those brave men and women fought for freedom, yet these ifs' and buts' doom and gloom forecasters would have us give it all away.

This was a good meaningful thread up till about a week after the vote, everything after has been largely inconsequential. I for one have heard enough and won't be visiting this thread again.

"If it's here, they will come."

And country were your getting confused is,
Companies will trade regardless whether they get the nod from Brussels or not. Do you honestly think that they with risk jobs in their own countries because the UK won't play ball ?.
Face it, the EU and itst beurocratic bull muck is dying of a slow death, it does not work in any way shape or form. We have moved on and times have changed some for the worse and to carry on in a failing EU would be a disaster.
House prices ?, lets takr London out the equation as it does not represent the UK as a whole with the vast majority of London property been foreign owned. House prices have hardly moved in 15years.
The scare mongering gang in remain said "Future prices of property would drop" what the actually meamt was "House prices in the future will not rise as much" big big diffence there.
My own properties were I live have rose hardly moved in 10years and that includes the last so called recession.

House prices haven't moved . I don't know where you live but in mounteagles houses prices drop over £100,000 in the last crash . And where did I say we wouldn't trade ? What I said was companies could move plants . Also it could cost us more to buy . Again I said could . It's all pie in the sky just now . But the one thing that is happening just now is people have stopped spending money . That causes a recession . Also credit is getting cheaper . All this is dangerous , and I'm not clued up enough to know if brexit will help of hinder these problems

Nope

Ah well, I see my question was deleted; but thanks for replying anyway. Not being in the UK, it doesn't directly impact me, but I was shocked at the result and wondered if events since might have changed anyone's mind...

Well I was one of those who voted out and I am quite dismayed with the state of things at the moment. Not only should we have been celebrating our independance and had a real good feel factor but is the complete opposite. Just under half the country are miserable and do not seem to want to accept to the result, then people have stopped buying anything and burying their heads in the sand and people are pulling out of property deals or try to re neogotiate. Things all round seem to be very stagnant because there is no direction.

Pretty much as expected and predicted. You didn't believe all that Brexit propaganda sh*te did you?

I think the sooner we involk article 50 maybe the better. At lease we would put to bed the idea of a 2nd referendum and we would all know which direction we are going even if if some do not like it.

I don't read newspapers or watch the news, i voted to leave based on my own views, which I thought was the point of a ballot, if that's wrong in your opinion I honestly don't give a f#ck

German asylum seekers refuse to work insisting 'We are Merkel's GUESTS' | World | News | Daily Express

Where are the TV cameras now?
A female physician in Munich, Germany sends a message to the
World………..
'Yesterday, at the hospital, we had a meeting about how the situation here and at the other Munich hospitals is unsustainable. Clinics cannot handle the number of migrant medical emergencies, so they are starting to send everything to the main hospitals.
Many Muslims are refusing treatment by female staff and we women are now refusing to go among those migrants!
Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse. Since last weekend, migrants going to the hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.
Many migrants have AIDS, syphilis, open TB and many exotic diseases that we in Europe do not know how to treat.
If they receive a prescription to the pharmacy, they suddenly learn they have to pay cash. This leads to unbelievable outbursts, especially when it is about drugs for the children. They abandon the children with pharmacy staff with the words: So, cure them here yourselves!
So the police are not just guarding the clinics and hospitals, but also the large pharmacies.
We ask openly where are all those who welcomed the migrants in front of TV cameras with signs at train stations? Yes, for now, the border has been closed, but a million of them are already here and we will definitely not be able to get rid of them.
Until now, the number of unemployed in Germany was 2.2 million. Now it will be at least 3.5 million. Most of these people are completely unemployable. Only a small minimum of them have any education. What is more, their women usually do not work at all. I estimate that one in ten is pregnant. Hundreds of thousands of them have brought along infants and little kids under six, many emaciated and very needy. If this continues and Germany re-opens its borders, I am going home to the Czech Republic. Nobody can keep me here in this situation, not even for double the salary back home. I came to Germany to work, not to Africa or the Middle East!
Even the professor who heads our department told us how sad it makes him to see the cleaning woman, who has cleaned every day for years for 800 euros and then meets crowds of young men in the hallways who just wait with their hands outstretched, wanting everything for free, and when they don't get it they throw a fit.
I really don't need this! But I am afraid that if I return home, at some point it will be the same in the Czech Republic. If the Germans, with their systems, cannot handle this, then, guaranteed, back home will be total chaos…..
You - who have not come in contact with these people have absolutely no idea what kind of badly behaved desperados these people are, and how Muslims act superior to our staff, regarding their religious accommodation.
For now, the local hospital staff have not come down with the diseases these people brought here, but with so many hundreds of patients every day this is just a question of time.
In a hospital near the Rhine, migrants attacked the staff with knives after they had handed over an 8-month-old on the brink of death, who they'd dragged across half of Europe for three months. The child died two days later, despite having received top care at one of the best pediatrics clinics in Germany. The pediatrics physician had to undergo surgery and the two nurses are recovering in the ICU. Nobody has been punished - what ???
The local press is forbidden to write about it, so we can only inform you through email. What would have happened to a German if he had stabbed the doctor and nurses with a knife? Or if he had flung his own syphilis-infected urine into a nurses face and so threatened her with infection? At a minimum he would have gone straight to jail and later to court. With these people so far, nothing has happened - WHY?
And so I ask…… where are all those greeters and receivers from the train stations? Sitting pretty at home, enjoying their uncomplicated, safe lives. If it were up to me I would round up all those greeters and bring them here first to our hospitals emergency ward as attendants! Then in to one of the buildings housing the migrants, so they can really look after them there themselves, without armed police and police dogs, who, sadly today, are in every hospital here in Bavaria’.
Is this "situation" coming to your country ??? YOU BET IT will !

Its a sad state of affairs if this is the case. We need to control our borders or we will be in the exact same scenario.
The NHS is overwhelmed as it is.
