some channels are loding ..Giallo,cielo,and a few more but none with the $ly prefix.

Got in touch with friend in Italy. No reports at all of it being back.
I know some people are trying there old cam. I would doubt very much if that service is working again as its been awhile.
But word from Italy and persons that know about it.
NO reports of it up.
This has been done in China By The Red Dragon Team it,s not Ready for public use yet and there not sharing any how-to,s with anybody .

I am keeping an eye on this thread. Hubby is making do with the non $ly channels at the moment (as his beloved Juve is shown around the world) but would prefer to whatch them in his own language. (Interestingly $ly DE appeared to be more stable (no freezing) over the last season.)
Just a update on this it will be a few weeks before sly it goes live problems with servers tweaks there setting up local host in the EU as well .
It will be available plug & play and standalone subs also i,ve heard nothing about 19 or 28 as we all know 13 is the only one gone full pairing out of the 3 .
And be carefull if this is what your going to use seen a few scum bags and ali saying sly hd 28 east this is lies just looking to rip you off simple.
Would also stay local word of mouth friend of a friend you know yourself as what you had,nt got you won,t miss and the sly hd on 28 are been pulled from cable not sat and if it is cracked it will go iptv first because of the sly,s new spot beam they will milk it for all it,s worth and ask for a test first try before you buy .
And kodi will get you most of this for free also .

Yes it is down for close to a year now.

The truth is that I've had the receiver for more than a year and just until recently, it's been taken care of by somebody else. I am just trying to figure out what he's been doing to my receiver so that I can take it from here as this person isn't around anymore.

I seen you posted in another thread that you have VU+ solo.
Surley that receiver does not need channel updates as they do it automatically.
But as far as "sly it" goes I doubt very much you will receive the VU+ solo back with what your expecting.
I have friends over there that know a lot about it.
Apart from mad rumors mate please don't hold your breath.
Its been down near a year mate.
It was giving to many problems before the major drop.
Things have moved on over there now.

I am in the same situation as you - we were relying on someone who looked after our box but felt it is time to take control and learn how to update and customise it. Then if anything goes wrong I can sort it straight away.
Bit of a bummer Sly it going down but in terms of Italian football the app Live Football TV is your friend - it lists all the other channels & sats that matches are on.

There waiting till they have everything preloaded companys not gone live yet if i knew anymore i would have posted since it,s nothing to do with me i don,t run any server sell boxes in any way and this fix when it go,s live is a nightmare for the community close source no thanks ,

Did you manage to update and customize your receiver? Because I learned that you need to download plugins but I couldn't because of number of posts and some people that wouldn't want to help. maybe they think I'm going to take their jobs? I don't know what's the matter with them. Anyway, can you recommend any plugins or applications that could be useful that I can download from anywhere else?
