Hi all
A sad day for me, during a visit to a play centre with the kids I accidently knocked my Samsung galaxy s6 against the edge of a quarter filled jug or squash (weak mostly water).
Most of the phone went into the squash I got it straight out and noticed it was switched off (short circuit?) well I dried what I could and used the toilet dryer, not directly underneath.
On the way home I stopped at a phone shop and explained what happened they told me to try putting it in the bowl of rice for 24/48h hours then make sure its dry and put it on charge for a solid 12 hours if that does nothing then bring it back and they can do a main board clean with some solution for £35.
When I got home I put it in rice directly in the sunlight, like I was told, it has now been 24 hours and I have just plugged it in, I had the following come up on the screen (see pictures), it first came on with 97% I just had to see if it would turn on so I held the power button then the charge icon came on and off but no boot up I then let go of the power button and a charge of 26% came up.
The problem is I have no insurance for it, I have only had it 3 months and it’s under warranty, if its opened the warranty is invalid. I have a claims court case starting soon and being an idiot some screenshots I never backed up, I know I am an idiot
Any suggestions?
Thanks
